For the second time in one day, Cell Innovation is announcing the release of an Android app on the Google Play Store. Call + Voice Recorder is the newest recording app to hit Google Play.

We’ve seen Android apps that let you record audio. We’ve also seen apps that record phone calls, with various degrees of success. Have we seen apps that both record audio and phone calls? I didn’t think so… Well now you have, since that is exactly what Call + Voice Recorder does.

The app which is very easy to use, let’s you start audio recording with the push of a button. The app can then run in the background while your device does other useful things. Recordings can be started and stopped manually, or you can specify a maximum recording time from one minute to one hour, and the recording stopped and saved once this limit is elapsed. Recordings are also saved to your devices external storage or USB. Internal storage can be used if that option is set or external storage is unavailable

The phone call recording feature works similarly. Once enabled on the app settings screen, it records incoming and outgoing calls. This feature can be turned off at any time. Once recorded, there are various sharing options are available to get the audio off your device; share on Facebook, by email, MMS, bluetooth or wifi to other devices.

Call + Voice recorder is available on Android devices running Froyo (Android 2.2) and up.

TORONTO, ON – Cell Innovation has been busy, and today we are proud to announce the release of our latest Android app, Auto Call. This app serves as a call scheduler, fake call maker and alarm system all rolled into one little piece.

There are other call making and call faking apps for Android. but seldon do you see these features bundled into one app. And we thought, while we’re at it, why not throw in a repeat feature as well? So that is what we did, making Auto Call suitable as an alarm system as well.

The call scheduling feature works like this; You set up a call to a specified name and number (can pick from phone contacts), and set a date and time for the call. At the specified time, your phone starts ringing and the incoming call screen is displayed as if you are receiving a call from the chosen contact. When you answer the call, your phone then places a call to that person. So the effect is that, you and your contact receive a call at about the same time, you both answer the call, and you’re connected, without either of you having to explicitly dial the others’ number.

The repeat feature can also be used for scheduling repeated calls, so in case you’re supposed to call the special someone in your life, let’s say, every evening at 9 o’clock, you just schedule a repeated call for the given time, then you and that special someone will receive a call each night at that time, and you can carry on your conversation merrily. The repeat feature also works well for setting repeated wake up calls or alarms.

With the Android platform providing so many customizations, and each vendor customizing the look and feel of the platform, one limitation of most call faking apps on Android is that they usually provide just one incoming call screen. So if your device is not running a stock Android release, the incoming call screen may not be very convincing to onlookers. What Auto Call does differently is, it provides multiple incoming call screens to match the look of major manufacturers, so users can choose the screen which best fits their device.

Auto Call is available all Android phones running Eclair (Android 2.1) and up.
